About the Owner

 Jay's Sit and Stay was, founded in January of 2006 by the owner, Jay.  After spending years working with and caring for animals in animal hospitals, kennels, and pet stores, Jay found that he had been adopted by a menagerie of pets.  Finding someone reliable and trustworthy to care for them in the event of vacations, special events, or emergencies, without having to bother family or friends, became a consistent problem.  Having previously worked in kennels and hospitals, Jay determined that these were not the best environments for his own menagerie or that of other pet parents.  The idea of creating an opportunity for pet-lovers to have a home-style, cage-free environment to leave their pets in began to take shape.  While pursuing a degree as a Veterinary Technician, Jay began to acquire  the knowledge and appropriate affiliations  to put the plan in motion.  After a brief period of time, the word began to spread, and Jay's Sit and Stay was born. 


 About Jay's Sit And Stay

   
    Jay's Sit and Stay is a member of Pet Sitters International and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.  We are also fully bonded and insured. We are based in Levittown, New York. Our primary goal is to provide the highest level of service for our clients.  We are experienced in caring for special-needs animals and will care for all pets from dogs and cats, to birds, reptiles, small animals and fish. 
 

    We offer private boarding here at Jay's Sit and Stay for dogs.  While staying here the dogs ARE NOT caged (unless they have a medical issue or are still in a "crate-training" phase).  Rather, they are allowed to roam free in the house as if it were their own.  They are given the option of a private room, their own beds from home, or couches in the living room which they may sleep on.  There is a large, fully fenced in yard for them to play in during the day, and we also like to take group dog walks whenever possible.  The dogs are allowed a great deal more freedom than they would be at a kennel, additionally they are given the opportunity to socialize and make some new friends.
 

    Depending on the circumstances, or the pet in question, it may not be possible for your pet to board at Jay's Sit and Stay.  In that case, we offer home visits, where your beloved pet can stay in their own environment and have frequent visits throughout the day. There is also the option to have someone stay overnight with your pet in your home (this service is based on availability). 
 

    Jay's Sit and Stay also offers daily dog walks, doggie-daycare, and pet taxi services.  The daily walks and doggie-daycare are great options for dogs whose owner(s) work long hours.  Most dogs, just like us, could always use a little more exercise than they are currently getting. It is also a wonderful opportunity for socialization for dogs of any age group.  The pet taxi services can come in handy for grooming and veterinary appointments that cannot be scheduled during your time off.
 

We strive to provide our clients with the best service possible, and we will do our best to fill any  special requests and needs. Whether we come to visit your pets , or they come to stay here at Jay's Sit and Stay, you can be assured that they will be given tremendous amounts of TLC and they will be treated as if they were our own.
